Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. (GWRL), one of India's leading players in the technical textiles sector, has been honored with the prestigious ‘Top Exporter’ award for its exceptional performance in the fish netting export category for FY 13-14 and FY 14-15 by the Plastics Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL).

PLEXCONCIL Awards are given in recognition of outstanding export performance across categories. The event also commemorated the diamond jubilee celebration of PLEXCONCIL for completing 60 years in service.

The Plastics Export Promotion Council (popularly known as PLEXCONCIL) sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India represents the exporting community in the Indian Plastics industry and holds award ceremonies to recognize the efforts of players across categories.

In its pursuit to achieve export excellence, various export promotional activities are undertaken by PLEXCONCIL. These include participation in international trade fairs; sponsoring delegations to target markets; inviting business delegations from overseas to India; organizing buyer-seller meets both in India and overseas etc.

Most recently, GWRL was also honored with the ‘Highest Exporter’ award for the sports goods category by the Sports Goods Export Promotion Council (SGEPC), in their Annual Export Award function for 2015-16.
