SME Firm Radel Eyes Global Partnerships at 'Aero India 2015'

PR Newswire | 22 Jan, 2015
BANGALORE: Radel Advanced Technology, part of Bangalore-based Radel Group, a leading Small Medium Enterprises (SME) player, catering to the Aerospace and Defence sector is looking at closing joint ventures during 'Aero India 2015' next month. Radel, since its inception, has ensured high levels of quality with design and R & D being its core strengths, delivering turnkey solutions to both government projects as well as larger players in India and abroad. Successfully completing over 20 indigenized projects for Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) and Indian Air Force (IAF), Radel is looking at partnering global and large Indian companies at the Aero event scheduled to be held between 18-22 February in the city, where it will be showcasing its design and manufacturing capabilities. By year 2016, the company expects 3-digit growth betting mainly on delivering high-value work on ground assemblies and obsolescence management.

G Raj Narayan, Founder and Managing Director, Radel said, "After witnessing repeated success with our projects in A & D sector, we are now poised to supply to large Indian and global companies, providing a mammoth advantage on both cost and time fronts. Narayan further adds, "Now with the Indian government's preference for indigenously designed and manufactured products, there are enormous opportunities for SMEs to ride on the 'Make in India' initiative, if we can integrate into the A & D ecosystem through win-win partnerships."

Milestones achieved by Radel in the past few years have grown significantly, contributing to the Indian Aerospace SME market. It has successfully indigenized a Rocket Pod distributor used on a fighter aircraft of the IAF using a modern electronic system in place of obsolete electro-mechanical technology of the foreign original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Having undergone successful certification following flight tests by the IAF, the unit will now go into serial production. Radel's electronic bomb release controller used on a fighter aircraft of the IAF has also been designed and successfully tested. It is now awaiting integration and flight trials by the IAF followed by serial production. The company has already designed, developed and supplied a number of ground test jigs for testing some of the avionics on-board equipment of the ALH and Su-30 aircrafts. A significant number of these have been supplied to HAL and are operating in the Armed Services base. Repeat orders for these are being periodically executed by Radel to meet the growing requirements. The company's increasing partnerships are definitely attributed to its strong aerospace domain expertise combined with design and development capabilities.

Radel will be present at the Aero India 2015, showcasing its capabilities and G Raj Narayan can be reached at stall no. AB 3.7 to answer any related query.
