SecureRack Steadily Expands its IaaS Offering

SCHINDELLEGI: Since its establishment in 1998, the Swiss Internet service provider Backbone Solutions AG, headquartered in Schindellegi (SZ), has successfully positioned itself within the market with a range of connectivity and Internet telephony offerings (VoIP). In recent weeks, Backbone Solutions AG has been steadily expanding its latest business vertical Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and the brand SecureRack (http://www.securerack.com), in part by means of the new products Dedicated VMware Server and Dedicated VMware Backup, has newly created positions and server templates that now total in excess of 700.

Two new SecureRack products

SecureRack is presenting two new products today, in addition to the SecureRack vDatacenter that had been launched earlier. Dedicated VMware Server is an exclusive solution that is particularly suited for medium-sized companies and offers customers their own, dedicated server that is operated in a highly secure Swiss datacenter. Its elegant companion, Dedicated VMware Backup, is presented to the market at the same time. Dedicated VMware Backup offers innovative and professional backup solutions and fulfils the highest requirements regarding security, speed and availability. It can be operated in combination with the Dedicated VMware Server or independently of it.

Newly created jobs

More than 700 prepared server templates already available

The SecureRack vDatacenter has three impressive characteristics: security, flexibility and resource efficiency. An additional aspect that distinguishes the SecureRack offer from that of its competitors is the prepared server templates, which are available to customers free of charge and allow the provision of a vDatacenter within only five minutes. "We are continuously extending our offer of Linux and Windows systems and can therefore provide our users with the required applications free of charge. By now, we have compiled more than 700 server templates," explained Marcel GmÃ¼r, COO of Backbone Solutions AG.
