UBM India Flags off CBME India 2015 at BEC, Mumbai

MUMBAI: CBME India 2015, the three day (9th - 11th April 2015) trade show hosted by UBM India, commenced today at Bombay Exhibition Centre. The show brought together global suppliers and manufacturers of child, baby and maternity products and services under one roof.

Children, Baby and Maternity Expo India 2015 (CBME India 2015), in its third year, is India's one of a kind B2B exhibition with over 80 exhibitors and 150 brands. The expo intends to provide an unrivalled business opportunity to Indian and global manufacturers and providers of child, baby and maternity products and services, providing access to thousands of retailers, wholesalers, distributors, investor, importers, franchisee market and educational institutions covering an entire spectrum from baby food to organic clothing, toys, furniture and stationery for infants and children, latest technology for infant safety and brain development etc. The event is supported by the Indian Importer Association and AIAI.

As part of his inaugural address, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Acting Managing Director, UBM India, said, "Due to the rise in income levels and awareness, the demand for baby products is increasing at an alarming rate in India. Also the growing access to key Indian and international brands and their products in tier II and tier III cities has further fuelled the sector into a full-fledged industry with huge potential. CBME India aims to tap this potential, making India a lucrative market for child, baby and maternity products and services."

The first day of the three-day event provided a launch pad for the exhibitors to launch their products among their business audience. Companies which showcased their products on day one of the event were House of Napius, Omved, Mothercare, Artsana and Lovi. Besides this, the first day also witnessed an Innovative Product Corner. The companies who participated in the same were Gerson & Gerson for Apparels, Babuline Pharma, Tuffstone (LOVI), Small Brown Box for Toys, House of Napius for Maternity Wear, ME & Moms, Indian Octopus, Rao Group, Omved, Mothercare, Toyvilla, Repellers and New Natraj Industries for Baby Products.
