GSMA Announces First Details For Mobile Asia Expo 2014

LONDON: The GSMA today outlined the first details of the upcoming 2014 GSMA Mobile Asia Expo, which will be held 11-13 June at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai. Mobile Asia Expo will include a conference programme featuring CEOs and senior executives from leading companies in Asia and around the world; an extensive exhibition showcasing innovative mobile products and services; a range of specialised featured programmes; a government and regulatory programme; and many other seminars, meetings and educational programmes.

"Set to attract more than 24,000 attendees, Mobile Asia Expo 2014 promises to be bigger and better, with a range of new programmes and experiences for both business and consumer attendees."

Showcasing Innovation in Shanghai
Huawei is the Gold Event Sponsor for the 2014 Mobile Asia Expo and will also be exhibiting at the show. Other participating companies include Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell, AT&T, Canonical/Ubuntu, Chunghwa Telecom, DaTang Telecom, Emporia, Gemalto, NTT DOCOMO, Ruckus Wireless, Shanghai Feixun Communications, Visa and ZTE, among others. GSMA Public Policy Forum
Given the importance of sound government policy to the mobile ecosystem and the impact Asia Pacific has on a global scale, the GSMA will be hosting its third annual Public Policy Forum at Mobile Asia Expo, bringing together key stakeholders from telecommunications ministries and regulatory authorities, mobile operators and industry manufacturers. Under the theme of "Achieving the Big Goals through Aligned Action", the 2014 Forum will examine the big payoffs for society that can be achieved through multi-stakeholder co-ordination in the delivery of new connected devices and services throughout the Asia Pacific region.
