Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated a two-day international conference on economic policies for inclusive development in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The two-day International 'Conference on Economic Policies for Inclusive Development' is open to all those interested in economic policy and innovations in the policy space, according to a Finance Ministry press release.

"To encourage this sector of innovation in India, the Ministry of Finance has taken an initiative for the first time to organize any such open conference," it added.

The conference is being jointly organized by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and National Institute of Public Finance and Policy.

The Finance Ministry is roping in leading academic, government and corporate authorities on policy planning from around the world for the two-day event, which is aimed at facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences on economic policy planning and innovation in the policy space.
