This was the biggest ever participation by FIEO in this important international Fair in which FIEO has been participating since April 2008.

The FIEO delegation was led by O P Garg, Past President, FIEO and Chairman, Carpet Export Promotion Council and G P Upadhyaya, IAS, Secretary General, FIEO was the Deputy leader. Besides, Dharmender Prakash, Jt Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, Samir Kumar and Dr Naresh Pal, Directors, Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) were also part of the delegation.

The India Pavilion was inaugurated by Indra Mani Pandey, Consul General of India, Guangzhou.

Complimenting the outstanding efforts made by FIEO for organizing such a big participation to promote “Brand India” image in China, he said that such initiatives could greatly help in reducing the wide trade deficit between the two countries.

He observed that China offers excellent scope for a large number of Indian goods and services and Indian businessmen should take advantage of these opportunities.
