Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) along with 77 companies have participated in India Sourcing Fair – Home Products held in Hong Kong.

This was FIEO's largest delegation ever to an international exhibition covering around 1800 sqm of space.

India Sourcing Fair was inaugurated by L. D. Ralte, Consul General of India in Hong Kong.

Ralte, while inaugurating the fair expressed his happiness to note that this show is the third edition and is gaining popularity as large number of Indian companies are participating representing wide range of products. He hoped that this fair will give Indian exhibitors more exposure of International trends.

Ralte visited Indian booths and met Indian exhibitors who briefed him about their products. Ralte appreciated the quality of Indian products being showcased by these exhibitors and said that new designs are on showcase.

O P Garg, Leader of the Delegation and G P Upadhyaya, IAS, Secretary General, FIEO accompanied Consul General and introduced Indian exhibitors to Consul General, Jarnail Singh Variaah, Consul was also present on the occasion.

Later in the evening, O P Garg made a presentation during seminar on India's trade and market scenario. He elaborately presented various product clusters in India from where buyers can source their requirement of particular products. He also informed buyers about various government initiatives and schemes to promote trade with India. Besides he briefed about the role of Export Promotion Councils in respect of the products falling within their jurisdiction. Garg answered the queries raised by the audience during the presentation.

Dhermendra Prakash, Joint Development Commissioner (MSME), Government of India was also present during the presentation and briefed the audience about MSME structure and the contribution of the this sector in Indian economy, employment and trade.
