Hoffman to Take the Helm at Expedia Affiliate Network Division

PR Newswire | 19 Jul, 2013
LONDON: Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN), the private label arm of the world's largest online travel company, Expedia, Inc., today announces the appointment of Arthur Hoffman as division President. Hoffman moves to the EAN division from the Expedia group's Rome-based online reservations business Venere.com™, where he has been Managing Director for the past four years. Hoffman takes over from Henrik Kjellberg, who is joining Expedia's leading discount travel site, Hotwire.com®.

EAN is a global affiliate platform business that supplies the Expedia group's hotel content through over 10,000 leading global and regional brands. Its tools and technology include inventory support, retail insights, API and template solutions, helping millions of travelers to find the perfect hotels for their next trips.

Hoffman's extensive experience of both B2B and B2C travel technology and online travel retailing will be most relevant in his new role. At Venere, he oversaw strategic IT transformation and led the team through a turnaround. Before joining Venere, Hoffman was Managing Director for Expedia's APAC business, overseeing the growth of the Expedia brand across the region. Prior to joining Expedia, he held the role of General Manager for Qantas Holidays, which saw him take responsibility for strategy, e-Commerce and IT for the brand.

Over the next few months, Hoffman will travel to EAN's key offices, to meet as many of the team as possible and hear their ideas on the business.

Commenting on his new role, Hoffman said:

"I couldn't be happier to join the Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) team and apply my passion for travel, technology, business and eCommerce in a B2B context. During my time with the Expedia group, I've heard great things about the talent and culture within EAN, particularly the customer-focused outlook, the forward-thinking attitude and the dedicated approach to achieving strategic objectives. This will be a fantastic opportunity to build on EAN's success with its ambitious, energetic and driven team."
