Ennore Port iron ore terminal achieves financial closure

The Rs 514-crore greenfield iron ore terminal project at Ennore Port, jointly promoted by Sical Logistics and L&T Infrastructure Development Project, has achieved financial closure. A consortium of lenders, led by Yes Bank, will loan Rs 340 crore to the project.

Steel minister warns private steelmakers over price hike

Union Steel Minister, Mr Ram Vilas Paswan has cautioned private steel makers that the government will take stringent steps if steel prices continue to rise. Mr Paswan said the government would be left with no option other than to constitute a steel regulatory body if steel companies continued to defy the government.

Paswan urges steel industry to check steel prices

The Minister for Steel, Chemicals and Fertilisers Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan has urged the steel industry to exercise restraint on increasing prices. Delivering the inaugural address at the “Summit on Mining to Steel Making” organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce recently, the Minister said every price hike should have some relevance with the rise in cost.
