Bajaj Auto on Friday said it is all set to export 'Qute' RE 60 quadricycle to 16 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe even as it awaits the Supreme Court's nod for sales.

Powered by a water-cooled DTSi 4 valve engine with a fuel efficiency of 36 km per litre and a top speed of 70 km per hour, Qute is easy to drive, compact, lightweight and is eco-friendly with an extremely low carbon emission, said Bajaj Auto in a statement.

"We have applied all our two-wheeler expertise of lightweight vehicle engineering and super-efficient power train technology based on DTS-i to create the Qute," said CTO Abraham Joseph.

Noting Qute has been designed in response to evolving requirements of low cost, last mile public transport across the world by optimizing size, weight, cost and speed, Bajaj Auto's president, international business Rakesh Sharma said: "Apart from being an effective last mile transportation solution it also provides employment to millions. With Qute, we are now raising the bar and ushering in a new solution of transportation that is cleaner, safer and more comfortable."
