Traffic snarls are expected in the New Delhi and central Delhi areas Wednesday due to the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) rally against price rise. The traffic police has asked the public commuting in these areas to use the metro to avoid traffic jams.

The BJP rally at the Ramlila Ground is expected to start 8 a.m. and by 2 p.m. some participants will take out a procession towards Jantar Mantar. This may cause traffic congestion in the two areas.

"Traffic police has made elaborate arrangements to minimise the inconvenience to the general public by tying up with Delhi Metro to increase frequency of trains for rally affected areas," Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Satyendra Garg said.

"Public commuting in bus and motorists are advised to avoid road journeys and instead they could use metro trains coming to New Delhi and central Delhi," he added.

Buses plying in and around the rally area would be diverted. The roads affected would be Ring Road, Mathura Road, C-Hexagon, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, J.L.N. Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Netaji Subhash Marg, Ranjit Singh Marg, Tolstoy Marg, Sikandara Road, Barakhamba Road, Parliament Street and Ashoka Road.

alok | Wed Apr 21 05:46:04 2010
To negate price all BJP members and Indians are requested to use swadeshi solar cooker which give energy equal to one cylinder of LPG or petrol of Rs 1250 in Rs 50 only. 4 pot box type solar cooker of MPUVN of Rs 1862 can save 3 to 4 cylinders of LPG a year for 10 years if used properly during sunny hours. We can also use Swadeshi induction cooking which give above mentioned energy in Rs 50 only. Imported LPG and kerosene thus saved can be used as much efficient motor fuel. This solar enegy can also be used at the same price as cooking for dehydration of global food produce making India thi largest food bank.
