China will offer discounted loans and other incentives to companies to boost foreign investment in the country's inland regions, the commerce ministry has said.
The government is eyeing investment in sectors like agriculture, processing industry, finance, education, culture and tourism, among others, in the provinces of Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei and Hunan, Xinhua reported on Thursday citing the ministry.
The authorities will introduce business-friendly policies and cut transaction costs to attract businesses in the central Chinese provinces that are less industrialised.
The ministry calls for rectifying any practices that disrupt business operation, including arbitrary law enforcement, and setting up state-level industrial zones to boost industrialisation.
