The economy ministry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued 139,039 certificates of origin in 2009, covering seven emirates as well as certificates issued for the Gulf, Arab and other countries.

According to statistics supplied by the Certificates of Origin Department at the ministry, there are 10 types of certificates of origin associated with various industries and standards.
