An interactive session with senior officials of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on doubling credit to Micro, Small and  Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will be held on July 10 in Mumbai.

The session organized by industry body, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be held at 2.00 pm at at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Apollo Bunder, Colaba, Mumbai.

The discussions at the interaction would review and revolve around the Doubling the Credit to MSMEs. Dinesh Rai, Secretary (MSME), Ministry of MSME, is also scheduled to participate in the session.

The session will be a good platform for intending participants to discuss key issues being faced by MSMEs with the officials of RBI.

Today MSMEs in India constitute more than 80 percent of total number of industrial enterprises and form the backbone of industrial development in India by its remarkable contribution to the Indian economy. However, the availability of timely, adequate & low cost credit is limiting the ability of Indian MSMEs in accessing the new technologies, upgrading the manufacturing facilities, expansion and enhancing of newer markets and maintaining the competitiveness.

Interested participants are requested to contact either Dr Sarita Nagpal, Deputy Director General, or Pooja Jha (CII, Plot No. 249 F, Sector 18, Udyog Vihar, Phase IV, Gurgaon).

The delegate fee for CII Members is Rs. 500 per delegate while the fee for CII non-members is Rs. 1,500, the CII press release added.

Meanwhile, Mahakaushal Association of Women Entrepreneurs (MAWE) is organizing a two-day National Workshop, on Packaging & Branding for Exports in association with FISME, UNCTAD & DFID, to encourage women and girls for being self-employed through entrepreneurship from July 2.

In a recent press release MAWE has said that this two-day workshop will have participation from women entrepreneurs from Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. Experts from the Indian Institute of Packaging, from leading MNCs for branding, marketing consultants & suppliers of latest packaging solution for exports will be exhibiting and interacting with the audience.

We are expecting participation from Madhya Pradesh, Nagpur, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Orissa, etc, a MAWE release said.

We invite you to participate in this two-day workshop by exhibiting your products & services to the ready audience. For this purpose, we are providing you with a table and two chairs at the venue, Hotel Gulzar, Jabalpur. To defray the costs of organizing the event, you are requested to pay Rs. 1500 for exhibiting for two days, the release added.
