Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday reported a rise of 11 percent in its sales, with over two million units sold during the second quarter of 2017-18.

The company said it sold 20,22,805 units of two-wheelers in the July-September period with consecutive months of robust sales, up 11 percent, from the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal.

"Our sales performance this year is a testimony to our intent and determination on further consolidating our very strong and consistent market leadership in the country," Ashok Bhasin, Head of Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Hero MotoCorp, said in a statement.

The company said it surpassed four million sales mark in a little over six months of the current fiscal driven by popular demand for its brands -- Splendor, Glamour, Passion and HF Deluxe motorcycles, as well as the Duet, Maestro Edge and Pleasure scooters.
