The Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) on Tuesday said permanent halls have been erected to host the forthcoming auto exposition (Auto Expo) slated for early next year.

According to SIAM, the India Expo Mart (IEML) based in Grater Noida has been given a massive makeover prior to the mega auto event.

"The venue has witnessed enormous construction in the form of two large halls being created in the venue," the automobile industry body said in a statement.

Previously, the venue had only eight permanent halls. The remaining display were curated in temporary hangers.

For the forthcoming mega event, the IEML has constructed halls 9-12 and 14-15, as permanent halls, complete with air conditioning and adequate power supply.

"The newly constructed halls have provisions for 25 megawatt of captive power supply. All the halls in the venue are connected with uninterrupted power supplied through gensets," the statement added.

The venue is slated to have two pre-designated parking lots with capacity of over 10,000 cars and bikes.

Security-wise, the venue will have multiple levels of protection which would be provided by CISF (central industrial security force), private guards and local police.

Furthermore, 180 cameras will be used for surveillance purposes. Wheel-chair facility for differently-abled people will also be provided.
