Homegrown automaker Tata Motors on Tuesday said it has launched an upgraded version of its Sport Utility Vehicle - Safari Storme - with improved performance and connectivity features.

The launch comes as part of the company's aggressive customer-centric strategy it has termed 'Horizonext' under which it is upgrading its existing cars and launching new ones for a better driving experience.

"It has a host of integrated connectivity features for a more complete vehicle experience, new design elements in its exteriors and interiors, for added dynamism, boldness and aggression, along with a superior road presence," said Girish Wagh, senior vice president of programme, planning and project management of the passenger vehicles business unit at Tata Motors.

Available in four variants, the SUV is priced at Rs.9.99 lakh onwards (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It will also come with a warranty of three years or 100,000 km, whichever is earlier, extendable up to four years or 150,000 km.

The company said it had developed a range of accessories in-house for the SUV.
