Two-wheeler major Bajaj Auto on Monday reported a two percent decline in its sales for 2014-15 which stood at 38,11,201 units.

The company had sold 38,70,077 units in 2013-14.

Segment-wise, the company sold 3,292,084 units of motorcycles in the fiscal under review -- down four percent from 3,422,403 sold in 2013-14.

However, commercial vehicle sales zoomed by 16 percent in 2014-15 and stood at 519,117 units compared to 447,674 units in the like period of 2013-14.

The company's exports during the fiscal under review grew by 14 percent at 1,806,078 units from 1,583,935 units shipped out in 2013-14.

The two- and three-wheeler manufacturer's March sales were 18 percent at 250,604 units from 304,317 units sold in the corresponding month of last year.

The company's exports in March were down 16 percent, as it shipped out 98,703 units -- up from 118,183 units sold abroad during the corresponding month of last year.

The company's motorcycles sales in the month under review -- down 22 percent from 209,937 units sold in March 2014 from an off-take of 270,578 units in the corresponding month of 2013.

However, commercial vehicle sales rose by 21 percent in March and stood at 40,667 units compared to 33,739 units in the like month of 2013.

The company's scrip at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was down 6.25 points or 0.31 percent (1.30 p.m.) at Rs.2,012.40 per equity share from Rs.2,018.65 per equity share.
