The Kerala government has initiated a number of programmes to create "an entrepreneurial mindset" in youth and promote such young entrepreneurs, a minister said Tuesday.

Inaugurating 'Technopreneur 14' workshop at the Technopark here, Industries and IT Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty said the main objective of the initiative was to develop an entrepreneurial mindset among youth on whom expectations for the future are pinned.

He also launched the official website of "Young Entrepreneurs Summit (YES)", a key initiative by the Kerala government to promote young entrepreneurs that will be held in Kochi in September.

"Within two years, Technopark would become a premium technological hub. Summits and workshops will help the government to encourage more youngsters to take up entrepreneurship. Kerala has now changed its mindset with the society accepting innovative ideas," said Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation MD Aruna Sundararajan at the event.
